COD-AB lines layers

COD_main_logo_final 1000.png

COD-AB (and COD-EM) datasets include a lines layer which contains an individual line feature for each edge of the administrative feature polygons. Thus COD-AB lines either separate distinct administrative feature polygons or separate administrative feature polygons from the COD-AB exterior.

The information in this section is also broadly applicable to Edge-matched administrative boundary dataset (COD-EM) information.

COD-AB lines features contain an “admLevel” integer field which represents the administrative significance of each line. This is essential for advanced cartographic visualization of COD boundaries including the adherence to special United Nations Secretariat instructions for specific border situations.
