There are currently 5 different content types that can be displayed in the Digital Situation Report. Visit the Yemen (Example Only) Digital Situation Report for clearer examples of each Content Type.

Article

This is where reports, stories, news items, and other text items are placed. The Article editing form contains the fields:

Section Heading

Required. Select one of the headings from the drop down menu. For more information about the different heading titles, please visit the Article Content types section under DSR editorial guidelines.

Title

Required. Enter the title of your article here. There is a 256 character limit.

Article

Required. Enter the text of the article in this field. You can copy text from another file and paste it here instead of retyping the article. Please be sure to either paste the text as plain text (right click in the field ->Paste as Plain Text) or remove all formatting from the text before pasting it here.


Image

Optional. The article will publish without an image attached. Please note that the text will adjust to fit an image.

Cluster Status

Select the appropriate cluster from the drop down menu under “Global Cluster Icon”. The icon will be visible after you publish the content.

The title, Needs, Response, and Gaps fields are all required to publish this content type. You can include up to 2 figures.

Interactive

Interactives are not embedded or added directly into the report for performance and usability purposes. Instead, an image of the interactive (a screen grab is sufficient) is uploaded with a corresponding URL. The URL and image are both required to publish this content type.

Video

Copy and paste a YouTube URL into the Video URL field. The URL must be in the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=###### format. An image of the video will automatically be uploaded.

Visual

You can upload a photograph or other visual (infographic, map, chart, etc) into this content type. The file must be an image file. PDFs will not upload.
