Working group membership is defined at a country level. Cluster/sector IMOs and IMOs of sub-clusters/sectors and other areas of responsibilities are the most frequent members. Membership can also be encouraged among all members of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC). Government and host nation civil society groups such as national NGOs can be encouraged to participate depending on the agreed terms of reference.
According to the Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG) Terms of Reference, the chairperson of the IMWG is a member of the ICCG. Even though not formalized in any guidance, it is also a good practice to have the ICCG represented in the IMWG.

OCHA organise et se réunit avec le Groupe de gestion de l’information (IMWG). L'IMWG est un groupe de travail inter-organisations sur la gestion de l'information pour les organisations humanitaires, au niveau global. Ce groupe de travail est répliqué au niveau national et sert de forum pour les discussions stratégiques et techniques ainsi que la collaboration sur les questions d'information relatives aux interventions et à la préparation humanitaire.
